About Amy Harrison

Amy Harrison is a prize-winning comedy writer and performer. (I'm aware that 'prize' winning makes me sound like livestock at a county fair). I live in rural East Yorkshire. I have a whippet.

What have I done?

  • 2025 - "Ground Down" Semi-finalist for the Female Pilot Club

  • 2025 - "Ground Down" - Shortcom TV Sitcom Long List

  • 2024 - Top 10 Featured sketches on BBC Upload for the year

  • 2024 - Semi-finalist for the Female Pilot club scriptwriting competition with my 30 minute comedy TV pilot "Facing Up"

  • 2023 - Runner up for the David Nobbs New Comedy Writing competition

  • 2023 - Shepperton Screenwriting Festival Finalist

  • 2023 - Broadcast credit for the Skewer

  • 2023 - Showcase winner for a workshop at Pinewood Studios

  • 2023 - Honourable Mention for "Craphter-Class" sketch at the Austin Film Festival

  • 2023 - Had a baby

  • 2023 - Semi-Finalist for the BBC Comedy Collective

  • 2022 - Winner of the Fullwell 50:50 Sketch competition with Craphter-class

My comedy leans towards the absurdities of every day life, blending the surreal with real-world observations and frustrations.

Facing Up and Ground Down are my most recent 30 minute TV comedy pilots.  Contact me if you'd like to read a copy.
